As the temperatures drop a bit and leaves begin to fall, attention turns to…OMG…Christmas!
Can you believe it? Today is only 12 more ThursDAYS ‘til Christmas?? Yep, Thursday, December 25. I was at dinner last night with a friend who told me that she has most of her holiday shopping done….already!!! I certainly felt behind.
So, to help all of you early shoppers out there, here are just a few ideas for the chefs on your 2014 list, based on budgets:
The perennial favorite, a fabulous All-Clad stainless set that has most every pot and pan the chef on your list will want. Think about how popular you’ll be when this USA made set is under the tree! $729.95
This made in USA knife set is extremely sharp, durable and has all of the key knives everyone needs to begin an excellent knife collection. The knife block itself is even made from American red oak! $629.95
These awesome blenders are so powerful they can chop a broom handle. Not that you’d want to, but Blend Tec blade motion is quite different from other top of the line blenders. The advantage is that you don’t have to keep scraping or tamping down the sides. This is the same brand used at Starbucks and Jamba Juice! And, it’s made in Utah! $649.95
Medium budget gifts – $100 or so
For the traveling cook, this German-made set has the essentials — chefs, utility and paring knives plus shears, corkscrew and hand held sharpener. $139.95
What a great way to make stir fry dishes or steam veggies. You can rely on consistent, even heat with this electric wok, so overcooking is not a worry. $129.95
This is the perfect gift for the person on your list who is just starting to enjoy cooking. Two German-made knives, an Asian Chefs or santoku knife and a straight edge paring knife make this set a great value, super quality and durability. $129.95
