Each month here at MetroKitchen.com we make a few “Sharp Picks” from Wusthof’s cutlery to feature as our Wusthof knife of the month. For June, we’re offering the Wusthof Classic 10 inch super slicing knife and the Wusthof Grand Prix II 10 inch super slicing knife at special sale prices!
Wusthof Classic and Grand Prix II Super Slicing Knives
Our Wusthof Classic 10 inch super slicing knives are a versatile combination of a bread knife and a traditional carving knife. Because they’re made with sharp, reverse-scalloped edges, they’re great for slicing almost anything. You can carve beef, pork, and turkey and they will not tear the meat like a serrated edge would do. You can slice bread with them, including bread with a very crispy or thick crust. You can even use them to cut citrus and other fruits. They’re extremely useful.
The blades on these Wusthof super slicing knives are resistant to all types of damage because they’re forged from high-carbon, German stainless steel. They also have a balanced feel to them because they each have a full, forged tang that extends through the handle.
These Classic and Grand Prix II super slicer knives from Wusthof feature similar blades and edges, but they have different handles that may appeal to different cooks. The handle on the Wusthof Grand Prix II Super Slicer is a formed, synthetic handle that has no seams or rivets. It has a smooth feel and an ergonomic shape that fits right into your hand. The handle on the Wusthof Classic Super Slicer has a more traditional 3-rivet appearance and feels slightly heavier than the Grand Prix II version.
The Wusthof Classic Super Slicing Knife is $99.95 now at MetroKitchen.com, a savings of $50 compared to the usual price. The Wusthof Grand Prix II Super Slicer is only $79.95, a savings of $55! Check them out today and save!
